Three members of Ecclesiastical Insurance’s Manchester office are supporting

Rainbow House with financial and practical help. Firstly Duncan Royle visited them

to present a cheque for £2500 after the Head at Tarleton Primary School, Chris Upton,

recommended the Mawdesley-based charity to a broker working with the insurance group.

Duncan was so impressed with the services provided by the charity for children with

neurological and physical disabilities that he volunteered to return with colleagues

Dave Graham and Paul Morris, who are all from the Chorley and Euxton area, to help

clear the gardens and carry out general outside maintenance work.

Duncan said, “Rainbow House do fantastic work and we were delighted to be able to

lend a hand. Once UK Global nominated them to receive a grant, we became aware

of their activities and wanted to get further involved. We really enjoyed helping such a

worthwhile cause.”

Ben Blackman, CEO, Rainbow House said: “We are very grateful to Ecclesiastical Insurance

Group for their generous donation and to Duncan, Dave and Paul for giving up time to

help in the grounds. It all makes a significant difference to the services we can provide

for the children.”

Unlike other financial services groups, Ecclesiastical is owned by a charity and grants a

significant proportion of its profits to good causes.
