The sun shone and children and their parents and grandparents enjoyed early Easter
treats at the Rainbow House Fun Day held in the grounds of the charity’s base in
Mawdesley on Monday 8th April.
Everyone enjoyed seeing animals from Fishers Mobile Farm, Charnock Richard, including geese,
chickens, goats, a calf and a rabbit which was happy to be cuddled. The children loved playing
in the outdoor sand pit and with water toys. They had their faces painted and took part
in Easter crafts before tucking into delicious ice cream from Emma’s ice cream,
home made lemonade by Nordico Lounge from Ormskirk and biscuits and hot cross bun
donated by Morris Quality Bakers from Coppull, Chorley.
Hayley Scholes, Head of Operations at Rainbow House said, “It was such a fun morning for
the children and parents and the weather could not have been nicer. Our grateful thanks go to
everyone who helped make the event so successful and especially to Fishers Mobile Farm for
bringing all the animals and Morris Quality Bakers for donating the hot cross buns and
biscuits. A lovely start to the Easter holiday activities which will include gardening, baking and
craft days, Easter egg hunts, step safe an mobility workshops.”
