News : Wigan Warriors Stars Throw Their Weight Behind Rainbow Ramble
With less than a month to go, disabled children’s charity The Legacy Rainbow House is urging more supporters to sign up to the Rainbow Ramble 2010, a sponsored walk or run on Saturday 15 May 2010.
This year, stars from top of the Super League Wigan Warriors team will be joining the Ramblers for a day to remember. Second Row Forward Harrison Hansen along with winger Amos Roberts have thrown their weight behind the fundraiser.

This year, alongside the 18 mile walk or run there will also be a shorter 10 mile route, offering a healthy challenge to all whatever your level of fitness or age. Both routes are wheelchair accessible and will take in the beautiful Lancashire countryside surrounding The Legacy centre in Mawdesley.
Joe Mawdsley, Founder and Chief Executive of the Charity says,
“We are delighted that Wigan Warriors are supporting us as a local charity. Last year we raised over £18,000 from the Ramble. This year we hope to attract many more ramblers to this major fundraiser for our charity. We hope the local community and local businesses can get behind us and help us raise the funds we need to continue our services for children with disabilities and their families.”
Entry is £15 which includes a charity T shirt. All those who finish receive a medal and certificate which will be presented at the finish line.
To sign up download an entry form here and return to the charity as soon as possible to reserve your place. Or call Charlotte at The Legacy on 01704 823276 for an entry form by post.
